I’ve finished loads of products some good, some that didn’t work for me so well – the video is a quick summary of what I’ve loved, what I haven’t and what I would definitely replace! The list below is everything mentioned and where you can find them.
Revlon Mascaras Ultra Volume and Super Length £9.99 HERE
I love this whole range of mascaras. The purple, blue and green lids are my personal favourites. They don’t dry up quickly and they aren’t horribly expensive. Brilliant.
Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream SPF15 £31.00 HERE
I’ve been using this for ages. Makes my skin look natural but improved. Not universal colour will blend well into light and medium skin tones.
Daniel Sandler Intense Volume Mascara £18.50 HERE
A non smudging mascara, Daniel is one of my favourite make-up artists. His range is always somewhere in my make-up bag.
Eyeko Black Magic Mascara £19.00 HERE
This is fab. But it won’t budge. Use an oil cleanser to remove. Seriously powerful lashes.
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes £23.00 HERE
I haven’t disliked one product that I’ve tried from the Charlotte Tilbury range. Such great quality. Such intense pigments. This mascara does indeed make lashes full and fat!
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush ‘Cherub’ £16.50 HERE
I didn’t finish this product in the video but somehow I got onto the subject of it and it is fabulous. The perfect blush for your handbag as you can quickly blend a couple of drops into the apples of the cheeks even with fingertips.
Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil £20.00 HERE
I need to get a new one of these asap. So easy to use. Perfect for strengthening the brow and filling in any gaps.
Murad Age Reform Ultra Glow £50.00 HERE
Two tablets a day – Glucosamine boosts the hydration level of the cells while increasing natural Hyaluronic Acid. There are 60 capsules in each tub.
Root Rehab – Natural Hair Growth Vitamins For Men and Women £14.97 currently usually £29.97 HERE
Each hair follicle has blood vessels at the base, which provide the vital nutrients needed to grow a healthy strand of hair. Without these nutrients, the follicle shrinks, leading to thinning hair and general hair loss. The tablets are a blend of 14 essential vitamins and minerals.
Bare Biology Lion Heart Fish Oil 120 Capsules £28.50 HERE
A good quality omega 3 offers such a multitude of benefits – and you can’t go wrong with this brand. I love the liquid version of the product too.
Thorne Basic Nutrients 2 a day £29.35 HERE
I’m listing these because I mentioned them and they are an incredible multivitamin! But my biggest advice when it comes to supplements, if you’re serious about taking them, is to have an appointment with a nutritional therapist. Kay Ali has given me the most astounding advice and has really got me on track with supplements – and now a number of my friends too – one that was suffering intense stomach issues. She is a fountain of knowledge. You can find her at https://www.youneedanutritionaltherapist.com
ARK Skincare Age Defend Moisturiser £35.00 HERE
The airless packaging of this moisturiser as I explain in the video means every drop of moisturiser is dispensed and fresh until the end. The active ingredients will still be active – sadly this isn’t the case with moisturisers that are open to the air or touched with fingertips. The Age Defend Moisturiser is designed for skins in their 30’s and 40’s. Use SUSIE20 for 20% discount and free delivery.
Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil £67.50 HERE
Helps to reinforce the skins natural moisture barrier – I had a small bottle of this product to try. You only need a few drops which should be applied to the skin directly – followed by moisturiser. Contains Camellia, Orchid and Chia Seed Oils.
ARK Skincare Reverse Gravity Eye Cream £48.00 HERE
Works against dark circles and reduces puffy eyes – as well as nurturing the delicate skin and helping to protect from fine lines and wrinkles. One pump is all you need and the roller ball gently massages into the skin. Use SUSIE20 for 20% off.
Perricone MD No Sun Tanner £50.00 HERE
Sadly not a product that had enough impact on my skin for me to replace. I love the Perricone MD range – but some tanners don’t work on pale skin – and this is one of them. St Tropez ‘In Shower’ literally has zero impact on my skin either. Very disappointing for paler skin – especially when you’re stranded in Miami with it as your only tanner.
NKD Tinted Tan Mousse Dark £14.95 HERE
This is a really good one – to be applied with a mitt. It’s as good as products double the price and dries so quickly you can pretty much dress and go in a crisis. Great range.
Fake Bake The Face Anti Ageing Self Tanning Lotion £22.00 HERE
It’s essential for me to use a separate face tanner. I can suffer with breakouts very easily with self tan and this one is particularly good and also contains nourishing ingredients. I’m a big Fake Bake fan their products work so well even on my fair skin tone.
Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water £13.70 HERE
Now to me nothing is better than a cleansing oil, but if that is something that doesn’t feel like a good idea (it should – even on oily skin the right cleansing oil is superb to rid yourself of excess oil) then try this jelly like alternative before you use your regular cleanser. It’s a really fresh product. It removes make-up really efficiently and won’t strip your skin. They did at one stage sell this at Cult Beauty but not currently so I found an alternative link.
ARK Skincare Skin Protector SPF 30 Primer £36.00 HERE
As I mention in the video – I challenge you to tell me you don’t like this product. It’s so lightweight, it’s so protective. It enhances make-up applied on top of it as it primes. So many people tell me they don’t use a daily broad spectrum SPF because they are too heavy on the skin. Once you try this you won’t go back. I am a DAILY user of SPF – even on the cloudiest winter day. The ageing UVA rays are always present and damaging the skin. Use SUSIE20 for 20% off and free delivery.
