Robert Czik was the first person to use dead sea minerals in a product range, after visiting the dead sea and seeing the remarkable benefits of the minerals in the mud and water. His family company ‘Finders’ now have three product ranges – Spa Find, Dead Sea Spa Magik and Scruffy Chops.

I was lucky enough to visit the family’s Kalmora Spa in Goudhurst last week, after recently meeting Robert’s daughter Kate. Goudhurst is a beautiful village in Kent, close to Maidstone, and the afternoon that I spent there almost felt like a mini break!

I was treated to a ‘Spa Find Hot Hot Hot Back Ritual’ and a ‘Spa Find Youthful You Algimud Facial’. Hannah was my therapist for the afternoon and I fell asleep about 10 minutes in to the back treatment – it was so relaxing. My back is a slightly neglected area – and the mineral mud, exfoliation, hot towel, and massage treatment – left my back feeling silky smooth.

I first discovered the Spa Find products during a lava shell facial. I am a huge fan of Lava Shell massage as well as their facials – which incorporate the Spa Find Range.

My products from the spa –

The Scruffy Chops range has been designed for dogs – they are natural mineral products – and are perfect for sensitive skins. They are so natural that humans can use the products too, they smell fabulous.

The Dead Sea Spa Magik SPF50 sunscreen I tried for the first time at the bathroom in the spa. I was incredibly impressed at how easy it was to work in to the skin – and how soft my skin felt after application. It is waterproof, mineral rich and protects for up to 8 hours. Unfortunately I’ve just arrived back from holiday and the weather is rubbish – so I’m going to have to wait to use this one!

My back treatment was £55.00, and my facial was £45.00. I really want a Hydrofloatation session the next time that I visit the spa (picture below) – believe it or not you float as you would in the dead sea! The spa also provides maintenance treatments such as manicures, pedicures, hair removal and Fake Bake spray tans.
