I have been using Alterna’s Cavier CC Cream for the last few months. The CC in this instance stands for ‘complete correction’ as opposed to the skin version ‘colour correcting’. Think of it as a foundation for the hair – other styling products can be used as an addition to it if desired.
I reviewed Alterna’s ‘Bamboo Abundant Volume’ Shampoo and Conditioner last April – the brand was new to me then and is now one of my favourites. All of their products are free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, and other unnecessary additives.
I keep my Cavier CC Cream in my ‘on the go’ cosmetics bag, so I use it when my hair is potentially at its most abused – after the gym, bikram yoga, swimming – also on holiday, and when I stay at friend’s houses. These are often occasions that I don’t have time to blow dry properly – or at all – and this always helps to smooth out my hair and keep it in good condition.
The product is a light cream – it doesn’t leave the hair feeling heavy or tacky. I bought it for my friend Vicky for her birthday – she like me has long hair and is always on the go. I don’t trim my hair as often as I used to when I had a bob, so anything that helps to protect and smooth the ends is always a huge benefit to me.
