I have really enjoyed using the three products from the Eucerin ‘Even Brighter’ range that I have been trialling over the last 6 weeks. I have been using the Even Brighter Day Cream, the Night Cream, and the Spot Corrector
They have been developed to target hyperpigmentation – dark spots and dark patches on the skin. Hyperpigmentation is caused by increased levels of melanin – which is the pigment that determines skin colour. Anything from hormonal change, the contraceptive pill, UV sun damage, skin injuries, or acne vulgaris can affect this level.
The active ingredient that targets pigmentation in the ‘Even Brighter’ products is B-Resorcinol – it reduces the skin’s melanin production.
The key with products being used to target a skin condition or problem is to be consistent with them. Use them daily – don’t think after one week that you’re seeing no improvement and stop.
I have found my skin to be supple, smooth and nourished. The day cream contains SPF30 – a daily sunscreen is one of my skincare rules – which helps to prevent pigmentation from sun damage in the first place. Below are my before and after pictures. The optimum time for using these products is 12 weeks, and I have been using them for 6 weeks. I will continue to use ‘Even Brighter’.
