Mosituriser –

Gold – ARK Age Prepare Moisturiser

If you are looking for a hard working moisturiser that will look after your skin, add nothing bad, artificial, or troublesome – the ARK range is very much worth taking a look at. There are three different moisturisers – which are suggested for age groups. Age Prepare – teen to mid early thirties, Age Maintain – early thirties to fifty, Age Repair – for beyond fifty. Reliable, effective brand – high quantities of active ingredients. The tub is airtight – as the product is natural and without preservatives.

Silver – ESPA Skin Radiance Moisturiser

Mulberry, bearberry and liquorice combined visibly brighten skin, and even out skin tone. Hawaiian algae dissolves dull cells. Meadowsweet stimulates cell renewal – the result being softened healthy skin. ESPA was one of the first brands that I learnt about. They have an extremely high quality range of products, and this moisturiser is currently on holiday with me. Suitable for use in both morning and evening.

Bronze – Natio Intensive Moisturising Day Cream

Australian brand Natio is fairly new to me. Their plant based range is extremely popular in Australia and is available in the UK in Debenhams. I really like their ‘Intensive Moisturising Day Cream’ for normal to dry skin. Well priced and high quality – it is actually cheaper for people living in the UK to buy these products in the UK – mainly due to the strength of the Australian dollar. This moisturiser is made from pure plant extracts and essential oils of rosewood, lemon, sandalwood, and lavender.

Luxury Moisturiser –

Gold – Kiehls Rosa Arctica

The effect it has on the skin – a slight plumping effect – reminds me a little bit of Crème de la Mer. Pat all over thirsty skin, and watch the instant health and hydration boost. Would be ideal on skin exposed to air conditioning, plane travel – basically parched skin. It contains ‘Haberlea Rhodopensis’ – a plant that can survive for 31 months in extreme conditions of dehydration. When it is hydrated again – even after nearly three years – it returns to life within hours. Gold medal deserved! I love using this moisturiser!

Silver – Crème de la Mer Moisturiser

This stunning skin plumping moisturiser had to come behind Kiehl’s because of its price. It did however have to be mentioned. My skin would struggle to look any healthier or full of life when this moisturiser is patted over it – patting is the correct way to apply both this and Rosa Arctica. It is actually a good way to apply all moisturisers. A little of this goes a long way – warm between fingertips before patting.

Bronze – Oskia Bedtime Boost

This is the night cream that is currently next to my bed – as anyone who saw my ‘What’s by My Bed?’ beauty blog may remember. Bedtime Boost is a truly luxurious night cream that hydrates and brightens. Reduces age spots and stimulate skin’s natural regeneration process.

Price – £74.00

Serum –

Gold – ARK Hydrating Serum

A new discovery for me. There are eight serums to chose from depending on your skin complaint. I have singled out ‘hydrating’, as that is the one that I use. The serums contain extremely high quantities of active ingredients – which in simple terms means that ARK products are effective – and do what they claim to. Sometimes active ingredients are stated to be in products but at too low a quantity to do anything beneficial. I either use this alone before moisturiser or add a few drops into my moisturiser and then apply.

Silver – Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

Kelly Brook loves

When I did ‘Top 5’ products with Kelly Brook she named this serum – at that time I had never used it. It is a classic, it has won every possible award. It contains – as they phrase it – nature’s long-proven moisture magnet, Hyaluronic Acid. This is interesting as I have mentioned Eve Taylor’s pure version of this ingredient below in the ‘Skin Treatments’ category – I can’t rave about it enough. The Estee Lauder serum gives immediate hydration, and reduction of fine lines and uneven skin tone.

Bronze – Clarins HydraQuench Bi-Phase Serum

I have frequently credited this serum as the reason that my skin wasn’t impaired whilst I was living in a tent in the arctic circle for weeks, with temperatures down to -30! This little bottle travelled with me and I used it every single day. The skin’s barrier function is reinforced by katafray bark extract, moisture is retained within the skin, and collagen production is boosted. I really trust this product. Perfect for dehydration, and as I found – skin that is exposed to the elements.

Skin Treatment –

Gold – Eve Taylor Hyaluronic Acid

One pump is all that you need to cover your entire face and neck. It has acid in its name, and yet is an incredibly soothing hydration boosting solution. It is a water gel that gives hydration deep within the skin. Plumps and protects the skin. Apply underneath moisturiser, morning and evening. This is part of Eve Taylor’s advanced range. It is my new obsession.

Silver – Kiehl’s Midnight Concentrate

Midnight is apparently optimum time for skin to regenerate – hence the name of this skin treatment! There has been a lot of talk about this elixir. Apply under moisturiser in the evening. I breathe in as I do – it is a gorgeous relaxing blend of essential oils, omega 6 fatty acids, squalane, and evening primrose oil. It helps skin to regenerate overnight, replenish lost moisture and to look radiant by morning. I really like its eye cream partner too.

Bronze – Dermalogica Hydrating Booster

I have used this for years. Mix a few drops in with your moisturiser, or apply directly to clean skin. This will deal with the most dehydrated of skins – skins that are showing fine lines as a result of lack of moisture. It contains hyaluronic acid which – as I have just mentioned in Eve Taylor’s product above – is extremely hydrating. Fragrance free, and can be used daily.

Gold – 100% Pure Argan Oil

I cannot say enough about this oil. I have just mentally sold a bottle to my friend Gilda on the plane on the way to Ibiza- she is literally going to order as we land. Hair treatment, hair serum, after-sun, face moisturiser, hands, feet, anti-ageing serum. Everything these days seems to contain this precious oil – on most occasions in an extremely diluted form – try the pure version. It is 10% off at the link below.

Silver – Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth

This is an incredibly popular cleanser. Similar to Eve Lom Cleanser removal method – the hot cloth has become increasingly used in ranges. This cleanser should be applied to dry skin and then removed with the provided muslin cloth. Liz Earle only make one cleanser and say that it is suitable for everyone – for every age and every skin type.

Price – £14.25 for the starter kit that includes the washable cloth

Bronze – Purity Conditioning Cleansing Lotion

If you are looking for a simple organic natural cleanser, give this one a try. As I am a fan of washing off rather than using cotton wool, I would recommend using this on dry skin and removing with a soft face cloth or muslin. Your other option, is of course, cotton wool! Contains sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and aloe vera. Suitable for vegans.

My office today was Ibiza town – all over it because this blog was a lengthy one to write! I have managed to get bitten by a mosquito all up my leg – very attractive!
