Shavata Brow Perfector £19.50

Fill in gaps in eyebrows, darken them, lengthen them, shape them – with Shavata’s Brow Perfector. Lasts so much longer than a pencil, and I love to mix the colours for the perfect shade. My palette is fairly tired looking, as the video shows because it has been much used and loved! Eyebrows are so important they frame the face. And it would be my one essential thing to do make up wise, if I could only chose one thing to do! This palette is suitable for all hair colours.

Phyto H’uile D’ales £13.50 –

My latest discovery from the Phyto range. Use once a week for five weeks, spray through hair before shampooing, leaves hair soft and shiny. Sleep in it – or leave it in for 15-30 minutes before washing it out. Perfect for stressed, dry, hair that needs some love and attention! It is also an ideal product for protecting the scalp before a colour appointment, if you have sensitive skin. 100% Natural botanical oil treatment – contains castor oil, juniper berrries, sage, lemon and rosemary.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector All-In-One BB Cream £8.50 –

Delicious smelling – extremely popular BB (Blemish Balm) cream. Blurs imperfections, protects and moisturises. I think this is like a really good tinted moisturiser with benefits! It has SPF 15, UVA and UVA protection. Although I did read one of the UV filters is fairly low – I said in the video UVB but I think it is more likely to be UVA. I did email Garnier weeks ago to ask about this, but I have heard nothing back. This comes only in  shades ‘light’ and ‘medium’ – I wear the light – the medium would definitely be to dark for me – if that is a helpful guide to anyone. Brilliant for days that you don’t want to wear a full face of make up – and also for people who don’t wear foundation but would love more even skin.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick £30.50 –

A product that have used for years, highlights and brightens. I’ve taken it foregranted, and it has been sitting at home ignored – it is easy to forget how good a product is. I have mentioned, and used, the ‘Bronze’ version in the attached video – which I also used as an eyeshadow that day – but there are other shades of the Shimmer Brick too. There is also a beige, a rose, a nectar and a pink quartz.

Davines Defining Shine Hair Drops £14.75

These, and a rough very quick blow dry, have been saving my hair after Bikram Yoga. My hair never feels good after the quick wash I give it after class, and taking this little bottle with me has made all the difference. I often have to go straight into work, and my tangled hair coming out of the 42 degrees class and changing in the worlds warmest changing room was an all round hair disaster! The Davines hair drops give fabulous long lasting shine. And you only need the tiniest bit – a bottle lasts and lasts.

Dr Darren Tri-mineral Microdermabrasion Mask £16.99

Dr Darren is an aesthetic doctor. He has a range of products in Superdrug, that work, but don’t cost an absolute fortune. This tri-mineral mask – containing magnesium, copper and zinc – energises the skin, and boosts protein production. The result is brighter, more radiant skin. He has selected ingredients that are proven to perform, and insists on displaying quantities of active ingredients on the packaging. Many products on the market claim to contain certain ingredients, but the quantity of the ingredient is too small to be effective.

Dermalogica Sebum Clearing Masque £39.00

This is a cooling mask that deep cleanses – ideal for use on skin with breakouts. The ingredients ‘purify and inhibit’ overactive sweat glands. I use this across my chin, when I have breakouts, and it really calms the skin. Contains salicylic acid, spiraea, and cinnamon bark – which clear congested folicles and stop the growth of acne causing bacteria. Definitely one to try, if you get paiful or frequent breakouts. I use another masque elsewhere on my face such as Dermalogica’s MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque and the Sebum Clearing Masque across the chin or where needed.

There is a special price (and free delivery worldwide) of £33.15 on this masque at –

The lookfantastic sale that I mentioned last week, and struggled to close the computer window on, has been extended until Monday at 10am, an email has just informed me! There are some amazing reductions, on products you never imagine would be discount worthy –

Also… My glitter wedge that I instagrammed and twittered on Sunday got some extremely positive feedback – they are extremely comfortable, but high.

If they don’t have your size check back later – every day they have different sizes and they are always low in stock. I had to try a couple of times to get them in a size 5. They are £40.00

4 Comments on Top Products of the Month – June 2012!

  1. Once again well done Susie for a well presented factual blog.

I personally love “Phyto”. My hair has always been fine and not on the plentiful side and therefore ageing is not a great plus factor in this respect! Phyto of all hair products remain the best one for me (10 years +) and one that I would therefore support fully. Whilst Ojon has not worked for me at all in any way. So sometimes there is a bit of a mystery as to why something works well and something doesnt. Thanks for all info x

  2. I bought the BB cream and eye roll on from garnier in boots yesterday 2 for £15 deal at the moment! Have mixed it with my Dermalogica moisturizer this morning, feels very light on skin! Might have to try the recovery mask as I like you always get mini breakouts in the same spots on my chin very annoying, don’t know how to get rid of it!! Loving the blog I’ve found myself buying alot more beauty products as of late!!x
