I was delighted when I was asked if I would like to try the breathable foundation by Oxgenetix. There has been a huge buzz about this product that offers subtle coverage, whilst supporting sensitive or post surgery skin. It is safe for every skin type – even the most sensitive – and won’t clog pores and therefore doesn’t cause breakouts. Oxygenetix was formulated for post-operative healing – it is billed as a ‘second skin’
Emilia Fox who has regular Oxygen facials recently said that Oxygenetix Foundation is the foundation that they now use on the set of Silent Witness. It’s the perfect foundation for film and television because of the natural appearance on the skin – and also when you are on set day after day under layers of foundation and powder – the kinder the products the better.
The foundation contains Ceravitae Complex – a super charged oxygen complex – which is proven to increase oxygen uptake. The more oxygen in the skin (and oxygen decreases rapidly in the skin after the age of 30) the plumper and younger skin looks.
‘Designed for doctors’ it claims to be safe and even helpful to use on skin conditions such as rosacea, rashes, acne scars, dry skin and injured skin.
In terms of surgery doctors in California recommend Oxygenetix after: CO2 Laser, Rhinoplasty, Laser Hair Removal, Acne/Rosacea Treatments, Facial Surgery Bruising, Scar Revision, Skin Resurfacing, Injectables, Eye Surgery, Dermabrasion and Chemical Peel
The foundation is water resistant for 90 minutes, has SPF 25, is available in 14 colour corrective shades and is hypoallergenic.
My verdict –
I have been using shade ‘Creme’. It doesn’t cover absolutely everything, but it does leave the skin looking smooth and fresh. I love that it is breathable. I always exercise with no make-up on at all, and sometimes depending on the time of day it’s inconvenient to have to remove it. I feel happy exercising in Oxygenetix – my skin is currently completely clear – and I always feel that skin make up can be one of the main culprits for break outs (alongside self tan and make up brushes). It’s expensive as foundation goes but for anyone with a problem skin, or having a skin procedure that can leave the skin looking red or bruised i would highly recommend trying it. I apply it over moisturiser with Crown Brush C406 – which is £9.29 and I couldn’t be without.
