Lately I have started to use Batiste’s dry shampoo. I was later than pretty much anyone else, to love dry shampoo!
I used the really rather expensive but worth it ‘Dry Texturizing Spray’ by Oribe, instead. As equivalent sized bottles of Batiste were ten times cheaper than the luxurious Space NK stocked Oribe, I decided to start alternating between the two.
I wasn’t keen of the thought of build up on my hair, or the sticky feeling that the product can leave. I tend to wash my hair every second day – so I had no huge use for it.
The other thing that has troubled me about the dry shampoos that I have tried in the Batiste range is the white resisdue. My friend Lulu and I were talking about it as we watched the XFactor results last weekend, she said that I should buy the dry shampoo for brunettes – which they do offer – and yet wasn’t available in Boots the last time that I was needing to buy.
Today I went to Superdrug in Aberdeen, on my mission to buy a dry shampoo for brown hair. Superdrug’s own range of dry shampoos had a version called ‘Chocolate Brownie’ which is intended for brunettes. I bought a small one for my handbag, and then I noticed that the large 150ml versions were on a buy 1 get 2 free offer.
Buy one get two free…. Ok….
I checked with the lady at the till point if this offer was being sadly misunderstood by me. She said that although it did sound rather strange – the deal was absolutely buy one 150ml dry shampoo priced at £1.99 and get two free.
Those included in the Superdrug Dry Shampoo offer –
Heart on Your Sleeve
Spirit of the Carnival
Away with the Fairies
As Superdrug are currently, until 4th December, posting for free on any size or priced order. I highly recommend this slightly too good to be true offer. Too good to be true – only assuming that you want, or that you need, three dry shampoos!
Speaking of the Xfactor – James Arthur is my man. Every week.
