My Best of Burt’s Bees

I used to buy Burts Bees in LA. And yet when writing my ‘Jubilee Blog’ assumed that it was a British company. It isn’t. I have learnt a little more about the range from that experience. I took a guide on bees – from Burts Bees – to Cornithea’s spa in London. There I was in the most glorious glass walled sauna, lying back, with a guide to the bee.

A ‘favourite products’ list from the Burt’s Bees range, is actually a fairly easy list to compile.

1) Tinted Lip Balm £5.10 – (RRP £5.99)

The three shades that I have are Pink Blossom, Rose and Tiger Lily. I mentioned these lip balms in my Best Products of May blog. Gorgeous tint on lips, moisturising, and also great for under or over lipstick when lips feel a little bit dry or flaky. I will always have one of these to hand! All the benefits of a lip balm, but with the ability to make the lips subtly come to life. For those who like Mac’s Petting Pink – I know a lot of people do – give Pink Blossom a try.

2) Radiance Exfoliating Body Wash £8.50 (RRP £9.99)

I wish I could put into words how much I love the smell of this body wash. I use it in my shower every morning that I’m home – with a wash body puff. It contains royal jelly, jojoba beads and a fruit acid complex – which exfoliates. It is fresh, delicious and won’t dry the skin.

3) Beeswax and Banana Hand Cream £8.50 – (RRP £9.99)

As those may remember from my ‘What’s by my Bed’ beauty blog, this is by my bed! I love banana. And more importantly I love looking after my hands – they are an area that I have neglected a little bit over the years- and I hear constantly how much hands show age if not looked after properly. This hand cream is a thicker, and I do a hand massage at night, working on the relaxation pressure points that I have mentioned before on here.

4) Mama Bee Leg & Foot Cream £10.20 (RRP £12.99)

My sister used to pay me to give her foot massages when we were children – with sweets usually. Now that she is pregnant and due last week with her third child, it is her husbands job. I believe it is a man’s job during pregnancy to give as many foot massages as a pregnant woman could desire…. This foot cream soothes with peppermint oil and conditions the feet too – and encourages healthy circulation. I don’t have very good circulation so a product like this is ideal for non pregnant women too.

5) Radiance Eye Cream £16.99 (RRP £20.00)

This 98.2% natural eye cream is made with royal jelly, chamomile, cucumber and rosehip extract. It reduces puffiness and swelling, and brightens the under eye area. I really enjoy using this product. It is light and soothing, and smells delicious too. easy to apply and smooth in – no dragging of the skin which is very important under the eye – the skin is so delicate.

6) Radiance Body Lotion £8.50 (RRP £9.99)

Containing Royal Jelly, and 134 nutrients including 17 amino acids this body lotion is both nourishing and enhancing – it gives skin a glow. It contains mica – a light reflecting mineral. It smells heavenly and gives long lasting moisture and a healthy bright skin appearance. A pleasure to use, looks fabulous on arms, chest and legs. I wouldn’t even waste this if I was covering my skin with clothes! I tend to use it when my arms or legs are going to be bare.

7)  Vitamin E Body & Bath Oil £8.50 (RRP £9.99) –

Nourishing vitamin E bath oil, with sweet almond oil and lemon. You put one or two tablespoons in the bath or directly onto your skin after a bath or shower. It’s a very easy way to get moisture to the skin, if you don’t always find the time to fully moisturise your body when you get out of the bath or shower – I can be guilty of that – which is one of the reasons I enjoy a bath oil very much. Suitable for pregnancy, and every skin type.

8) Baby Bee Getting Started Kit £11.05 (RRP £12.99) –

I love this gift set. The sizes are so handy for either trying out the products to see if the full sizes are something you would like to buy, or for carrying around when on the move. No one wants to travel around with their baby, and full size products – I think that makes this an ideal gift. Really reasonably priced too, when you consider the free delivery that the feelunique link offers too. Pure, natural and gentle ingredients. The set contains – Baby Bee Nourishing Lotion 25g, Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash 50ml, Baby Bee Diaper Ointment 20g, Baby Bee Nourishing Baby Oil 30ml, Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap 20g.

9) Blemish Stick £8.50 (RRP £9.99)

Such a handy stick to possess for breakouts. I have harsher spot treatments that I love, such as Dermalogica’s Special Clearing Booster, which would be a treatment used directly onto the spot and not the area of skin surrounding it (it would peel). This stick would be a more natural option, and yet still effective. It contains willowbark which clarifies. Calendula helps with the redness, and the tea tree is a well know blemish fighter because of it’s antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is 100% natural. If you aren’t looking for natural definitely look at Dermalogica’s – but do apply it carefully!

10) Radiance Night Cream £16.99 (RRP £19.99) –

Naturally replenishes the skin as you sleep. Contains Royal Jelly – as I mentioned it’s eye cream partner does also. Almond Oil deeply nourishes. Contains lemon, rosemary and pine tree extracts. It is a very flattering night cream to wear too – the skin looks great as you can possibly see an example of on my finger below – should you be trying to look fabulous in bed!! It smells lovely, and leaves the skin, soft and moisturised without heavily weighing it down.

I’m going to try the Mama Bee Leg & Foot Cream. My feet are in pain quite too often, and I’m trying every massage cream in the market.

    Thanks x

Me too actually. i definitely don’t think you need to be pregnant to have feet or circulation problems
